Gardens by the Bay in 2026: Tickets, MRT Exits and an Evening Route

AI illustration inspired by illuminated Supertrees at Singapore Gardens by the Bay at blue hour

Gardens by the Bay can be a free evening walk, an indoor garden visit, or a rather expensive collection of add-ons. The mistake is buying a ticket before deciding which version of the day you actually want.

For most first-time visitors, the useful starting point is Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, followed by the Supertree Grove after dark. If your priority is the illuminated trees rather than the conservatories, you can build a much cheaper visit. An aerial walkway is optional; it is not the entrance fee for the entire Gardens.

This Gardens by the Bay guide focuses on ticket choices, arrival routes, and a workable afternoon-to-evening plan. It is a planning guide based on official information, not a claim that we personally tested every queue.

Information checked on October 4, 2026. Prices are in Singapore dollars. Opening hours, exhibitions, ticket conditions, and maintenance dates can change. Some booking links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. Images are AI-generated editorial illustrations, not documentary photographs.

First decide what you are paying to see

The word “Gardens” makes the ticket question sound simpler than it is. Several attractions sit within the same destination, but they do not share one universal admission rule.

The outdoor Supertree Grove is normally free to enter. Cloud Forest and Flower Dome require admission, and the elevated OCBC Skyway and Supertree Observatory are separate paid experiences. Floral Fantasy is another attraction, not an alternative name for Flower Dome. The official Supertree Grove page is a useful starting point for the outdoor visit.

Your main priority A sensible starting choice What to avoid
Waterfall, indoor greenery, and flowers Flower Dome + Cloud Forest Assuming the tree-top walkway is included
Evening trees and music Outdoor walk + Garden Rhapsody Buying conservatory admission just to see the show
Walking between the Supertrees OCBC Skyway add-on Making an exposed walkway your only rain plan
A higher stationary viewpoint Supertree Observatory add-on Confusing it with the Skyway
A specific Floral Fantasy exhibition A package explicitly including Floral Fantasy Booking a similarly named two-conservatory bundle

Our default recommendation is deliberately modest: choose the two conservatories if their contents interest you, and keep one outdoor evening window. Add a viewpoint only if you genuinely want it. “Everything included” is less persuasive when half of everything is happening while you are looking for dinner.

The current price benchmarks for overseas visitors

On the checked date, the official non-resident Flower Dome + Cloud Forest bundle, featuring Jurassic World: The Experience, was listed at S$46 for adults and S$32 for children aged 3–12. Treat that as a comparison benchmark, not a promise that every date, promotion, or larger bundle has the same price. See the official Cloud Forest admission options.

The official non-resident rates for OCBC Skyway were S$14 adult and S$10 child; Supertree Observatory listed the same adult and child amounts. These are separate choices. Compare the Skyway information and Observatory information before buying.

A two-conservatory ticket plus one S$14 viewpoint therefore starts at S$60 per adult at those published rates, before meals and transport. That arithmetic is more useful than a reseller headline advertising a low “from” price for a different package.

Do not use a Singapore-resident rate simply because you are staying in Singapore. Select the eligibility category that actually applies to you and read any proof requirements. A discount that needs a document you do not have is an entrance problem waiting to happen.

Buying tickets: compare the contents, not just the total

Open the selected package and read the inclusions line by line. Look for the exact attractions, the visit date or validity window, the child age bands, and the redemption instructions. If your trip depends on a temporary exhibition, confirm it is running on your date rather than relying on an old photograph in the listing.

You can compare Gardens by the Bay ticket packages on Klook against the official options. The useful comparison is the same attractions, the same visitor category, and the same date. We do not assume Klook is always cheaper.

A practical pre-payment check takes less time than fixing a booking:

  • Does the package include both Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, or something else?
  • Is Floral Fantasy explicitly included if that is part of your plan?
  • Does the chosen date clash with maintenance?
  • Must the included attractions be visited on the same day?
  • Is the voucher scanned directly, exchanged, or subject to an additional reservation step?
  • What happens if you cannot travel or an outdoor attraction is suspended?

Read the refund conditions of the actual option you select. Do not interpret “instant confirmation” as “fully refundable,” and do not interpret “skip the ticket counter” as “no entrance queue.” Those are three different promises.

After paying, save the confirmation and voucher somewhere you can open without a fresh login. Charge your phone, increase screen brightness when presenting a code, and keep the order number accessible. If payment appears to fail, check your email and booking history before trying again; a second purchase is not a troubleshooting method.

Choose the MRT station for your first stop

There are two relevant station names, and neither eliminates walking inside the Gardens.

The official Bayfront route uses Bayfront MRT, Exit B: follow the underground linkway, then cross Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge into the Gardens. Bayfront serves the Circle and Downtown lines. Alternatively, the official Thomson–East Coast Line route uses Gardens by the Bay MRT, Exit 1. These directions are confirmed on the official getting-here page.

For an itinerary combining Marina Bay Sands and the Supertrees, Bayfront is a practical arrival choice. If the Thomson–East Coast Line fits your hotel location, Gardens by the Bay station may be the simpler rail journey. Compare the entire door-to-attraction route, not just the station name. Choose the station that gives you the more practical approach to your first attraction.

Use the official Gardens map to locate your first attraction and the route between stops. The illustrations in this guide are not navigation maps; use current signs and staff directions for access changes.

Before leaving the hotel, pin your first attraction rather than only “Gardens by the Bay.” Flower Dome, Supertree Grove, and Floral Fantasy are different destinations. An itinerary can lose a surprising amount of time when everyone follows a different pin with complete confidence.

For a taxi or ride-hailing trip, confirm the intended drop-off with the driver and your map. If the conservatories are the first priority, make that clear. Do not promise a fixed fare in your budget: the real amount depends on your starting point, timing, and booking conditions.

If you are coming directly from the airport, sort out luggage and the onward journey first. Our Changi Airport to Singapore city transport guide helps you choose the city transfer before committing to attraction tickets.

An afternoon route that leaves room for the evening

For a first visit, reserve an afternoon and evening rather than a rushed gap between two other big attractions. The following times are our planning allowances, not official queue estimates or a guided-tour timetable. Adjust them to your ticket conditions, walking speed, and appetite.

Around 3:00 pm: arrive, orient yourself, and do one conservatory

Use the first few minutes for the boring essentials: find the correct entrance, check your voucher, visit the restroom, and agree where the group will meet if someone wanders off. That is easier before everyone is distracted by a waterfall.

Start with Cloud Forest if the indoor waterfall and elevated views are your main reason for coming. If there is an obvious bottleneck and your ticket allows flexible ordering, you can consider Flower Dome first instead. Check with staff rather than assuming any entrance will accept any ticket at any time.

Cloud Forest currently includes Jurassic World: The Experience. The official page warns of loud sounds and flashing lights, so visitors sensitive to those effects should consider that before choosing the attraction. Temporary installations can change; the garden photographs in this article are illustrative, not a preview of every exhibition.

Allow roughly an hour or more for your first conservatory if you like photography or slow exploration. That is an editorial allowance, not a guaranteed visit duration. A photo-heavy family and a solo visitor moving briskly will not use the same timetable.

Carry a light layer if strong air-conditioning bothers you, and protect your phone or camera from splashes when taking waterfall pictures. The main goal is to be comfortable enough to enjoy the visit instead of alternating between “too hot outside” and “why did I not bring a shirt?”

Late afternoon: the second conservatory, with an actual pause

Flower Dome offers a different pace. Its appeal is in planted landscapes and floral displays rather than repeating Cloud Forest’s waterfall experience. The official Flower Dome page is the place to check current displays and admission details.

Give yourself enough daylight to enjoy it without rushing straight to the exit. For flower enthusiasts, this can be the longer stop; for others, it is the calmer second half of the pair. You do not have to spend identical amounts of time in both just because they came in one bundle.

Build in a proper food break after the indoor attractions, outside the conservatories. Check the current visiting guidelines before bringing food inside. Having a meal planned is particularly useful with children; a garden does not become more enjoyable when everyone is hungry at once.

Carry more than one payment option and avoid assuming every outlet has identical opening hours or accepts your preferred payment app. The point is not to carry a complicated travel wallet. It is to prevent a failed transaction from becoming your longest stop.

Early evening: choose one optional viewpoint or stay on the ground

If you want a walkway experience, OCBC Skyway is the relevant choice. If you prefer a stationary elevated viewing area, consider Supertree Observatory. Neither is necessary to enjoy the trees from below.

Keep this part flexible when the weather is unsettled. The operator explicitly says Skyway admission may be suspended in inclement weather. Do not buy an entire chain of tightly timed activities on the assumption that every exposed attraction will operate continuously.

If your budget or energy is running low, skip the add-on. A relaxed outdoor walk is a complete evening plan, not the consolation prize for people who did not buy enough tickets.

Before the show: settle in rather than arrive at the first note

Garden Rhapsody’s published schedule is 7:45 pm and 8:45 pm daily at Supertree Grove. Admission is normally free, but the official page notes that ticketed events such as Christmas Wonderland can introduce access charges. Check the Garden Rhapsody schedule and event notices for your date.

Our suggestion is to reach the Grove around 20–30 minutes before your chosen show if finding a comfortable spot matters to you. That is a planning buffer, not a promise about crowd size. Keep paths clear, choose a meeting point, and make sure everyone can see without blocking another visitor’s view.

The later show can suit a slower dinner, but it is not guaranteed to be quieter. Choose based on the evening you want and your return journey. Do not spend an hour waiting purely because someone online said a later time is always better.

Hours and closures that can derail the plan

As checked, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome both open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Last admission differs: 8:00 pm for Cloud Forest and 8:30 pm for Flower Dome. The last-admission time is not a recommendation for a full visit; arriving then leaves little room to explore.

The October 2026 maintenance calendar lists Flower Dome closed on October 6 and Cloud Forest on October 26. OCBC Skyway is listed closed on October 14, and Supertree Observatory on October 15. Check the live opening-hours and closure calendar before paying, especially if both conservatories are essential to your trip.

If one attraction is closed, do not simply assume the normal bundle remains the best purchase. Compare the options available for that date and decide whether to move the visit. Buying first and reading the maintenance notice later reverses the useful order.

Three adjustments for real travel days

If heavy rain arrives

Use the indoor attractions as the stable part of the itinerary, provided they are open and your ticket permits entry then. Leave exposed walking and elevated experiences flexible. Follow staff instructions during weather disruptions, and do not expect the walk between attractions to be completely sheltered just because the attractions themselves are indoors.

Keep a compact umbrella and a bag for wet items. If the evening weather does not improve, shorten the outdoor section rather than forcing a show-and-viewpoint combination. Check the actual booking terms before assuming a weather interruption entitles you to a refund.

If you are traveling with children or someone who tires easily

Choose fewer attractions and more breathing space. Discuss the sound-and-light effects at Cloud Forest before booking, and make food and restroom breaks part of the plan rather than emergencies. Look at the official map together: the destination is spread out, and several short-looking transitions can add up.

If step-free access or wheelchair arrangements are essential, confirm the current route and facilities with the operator. An accessible attraction does not automatically mean every suggested approach, bridge, or shortcut is suitable for your needs.

If you only have two hours

Decide on an indoor visit or an outdoor evening visit; do not try to compress the full afternoon route. Arrival and walking time count toward those two hours, so keep the visit focused on your main priority.

For the cheapest short evening, focus on Supertree Grove and the show, subject to event access rules. For a daytime visit centered on the conservatories, leave the paid viewpoints off the list. Match the purchase to the available time.

Where to stay without letting one attraction choose your hotel

Marina Bay is convenient for an evening around the waterfront, but there is no need to move your entire Singapore stay there for this one visit. A hotel near useful rail connections elsewhere can be the better overall choice if your trip includes several neighborhoods.

Use our Singapore neighborhood and hotel-base guide to choose an area first. Then compare the actual location, room type, cancellation conditions, and final total. A hotel description saying “near Marina Bay” does not tell you the walk from its front door to the Gardens.

If you have not booked yet, check Singapore accommodation on Agoda. You can also compare Singapore hotel options on Trip.com using matching dates and room conditions. These links open city listings, not a hand-picked hotel endorsement.

The simplest successful Gardens visit is usually not the one with the most expensive bundle. It is the one where your ticket matches your interests, the conservatories are actually open, dinner fits between stops, and you reach the trees with enough time to look up.
